Real Italian food that tastes amazing. Great selection of cold cuts. Fantastic wine list.
This is by far the most Italian restaurant that we have found in New York. From the decor to the menu to the service, everything is done in the Italian way. This doesn't mean perfection, of course. The prosciutto is excellent, and the lamb ragu is delicious, but the ravioli left a bit to be desired. The broccoli were overcooked. The wine list was fantastic although we had to inquire about the vintage of several wines; we enjoyed a Refosko (Refošk) from Slovenia. We would return to explore more of the menu.
Really like the design of the space. Lighting and decor is pretty sleek looking. Came for lunch so it wasn't crowded at all, was kinda nice.Service was pretty fast and very courteous. Most of the tables seem to be two-person, although there are larger group tables farther inside. My friend and I got the lunch special, which comprised of panini sandwiches. They were ok, but then again it's not bad for the price. The bread basket was decent, had some tasty garlic parmesan bread sticks. Might come back to try another one of their lunch specials.
We tried 5 dishes and everything was very Italian. A good wine list.
It's always a treat to find a REAL Italian restaurant making REAL Italian food they way it's supposed to be made. Great food at very reasonable prices. Highly recommend the fresh pasta of the day with their bolonese sauce. Also, the freshly imported buffalo mozzarella was very nice. Felt like going to Italy. =)
My wife and I had a meal here last night, we just happened to stumble upon it. The food was amazing , they made something off the menu for my wife . It was delicious. Highly recommend
Good restaurant
Great food. I would recommend the Caprese to start. Delicious and handmade mozzarella melts in your mouth. Quick service.
Great authentic food, friendly service, a real find
My son introduced me to this restaurant and it has become a standard favorite when he is in town-his treat. The fresh prosciutto (well-aged) is so good. The pasta is delicious and the wines wonderful.
Just stopped by on Monday night and they were closed even though the website says they're open. Has this placed closed?
Great food, good service and nice décor!
Easily the best Italian food I've had outside of Italy. Carlotta and Max are always wonderful hosts. Osteria del Principe is equally good for a quick business lunch as it is for a romantic dinner for two. I've even brought a group of 8 here with great results!
Terrific service, good quality Italian food, takes their food daily and great wines. Came here with groupon and was very pleasantly surprised
